On Friday 23 and Saturday 24 July “Grease” was proudly presented to the people of Mount Isa by Spinifex State College.
After 5 months of rehearsals, much to do over costumes and at time dislike and boredom relating to the whole production – Jessi performed in her first musical.
The cast was made up of 17 Lead Characters, 22 Chorus members (of which Jessi was one) and 6 band geeks. The Crew had a Producer, Asst Producer, Stage Director, Vocal Director, Stage Manager, Sound and Lighting Designers, Backstage Crew Manager, along with people responsible for Set & Props, Hair & Makeup, Choreographers, Conductor, Costumes and Promotional Material.
Over two hours there was two acts, 7 scenes in Act 1 a quick intermission and then 6 scenes in Act 2.
At the end of their Second (and Last) performance (held on Saturday Night) there were tears, hugs and much laughter and sillyness!
